CCU Spotlight: Alchemist on a Budget


Alchemist on a Budget is a CT Cosplayer, Dungeons and Dragons DM and a master in the ways of the force. After bring his amazing work to CTCONN with his crew, we were able to get him to answer a few questions about his adventures in Cosplay.

CCU: So what got you started in Cosplay?

Alchemist on a Budget: My sister wanted to put me in make up and I wanted to be a zombie.

CCU: Who are some of the Cosplayers that you look up to?

Alchemist on a Budget: Don’t really have any.

CCU: What have been some of your fav. Cosplays to do?

Alchemist on a Budget: My Star Wars OC and Nightwing.

CCU: What is a trend that you wish would go away from Cosplay?

Alchemist on a Budget: The gate keeping.

CCU: What is one of your hardest Cosplays to do?

Alchemist on a Budget: Nightwing is the least comfortable to wear so I can’t be in it all day.

CCU: What would you like to see more of in the world of Cosplay?

Alchemist on a Budget: Less cheap store bought stuff. Like if you’re buying it from someone at least make sure it’s high quality.

CCU: What is next on your line up of Cosplays to do?

Alchemist on a Budget: I want to do an arcane archer.

CCU: What are some of your fav. Cons to go to?

Alchemist on a Budget: My favorite use to be Yourminicon but now I guess it’s CTCON.

CCU: What could Cons do to make things a bit easier for Cosplayers?

Alchemist on a Budget: Teleportation technology to beam our gear to our rooms.

CCU: Whats one thing you know now about Cosplaying that you wish you knew before?

Alchemist on a Budget: Leave room for your junk.

CCU: What are some pieces of advice that you would give to up and coming Cosplayers?

Alchemist on a Budget: Just do it “best Shia impression”.
